One lucky reader has won an unforgettable holiday for two on board luxury river cruise line Tauck for 8 days on its Impressions on the Seine: Paris to Normandy tour.
Petia Markova has taken the big prize after seeing the competition advertised on Cruise Passenger and said “it would be great to win such a prize, so I entered. They say ‘you gotta be in it, to win it’. That worked well for me”.
The prize of the river cruise sailing between France and Normandy for 8 days on Tauck’s Impressions from the Seine tour, includes a choice of 3 departure dates: April 19, August 4 or October 27, 2025 and is for two people.
The prize is valued at a minimum of $11,270 per person (twin share) and includes accommodation, Tauck’s private shore excursions and distinctive inclusions.
It will be Ms Markova’s first river cruise, telling Cruise Passenger “I can’t be more excited! I have never won such a major prize and this was a huge surprise”.
Ms Markova said she’s always wanted to go on a river cruise, and entered the competition because of her love of France, its people and culture, and of course fine wines and great food.
The one thing she is most looking forward to on the cruise is visiting the Monet gardens in Giverny, part of the exclusive Tauck tour.
“Claude Monet is my favourite artist and as part of the cruise there is a visit to Monet’s gardens in Giverny. I am very much looking forward to seeing them in person,” Ms Markova said.
As it is a cruise for two, the prize comes at a great time as Ms Markova said she will be taking her husband along for the special journey to coincide with their 13th wedding anniversary.
“I am very grateful to the organizers of the competitions for this amazing prize and me and my husband are looking forward to this experience,” Ms Markova said.
