Activities [Family, Kids and Couple]

Oceania Cruises isn’t the kind of cruise line that caters to kids with splash zones and character parades. It’s designed for adults who love good food, culture, and a more relaxed pace—which makes it perfect for couples. That said, families do sail on Oceania, especially on more adventurous itineraries.

Families & Kids

If you’re travelling with kids, keep in mind there are no dedicated kids’ clubs or childcare services. Oceania is all about immersive travel, so the best experiences for younger passengers happen off the ship—think exploring ancient ruins, wildlife spotting, or tasting local flavours on a market tour. The only exception is the Alaska Explorer Youth Program, available on select Alaska sailings for kids aged 5–12, with nature and culture-themed activities.

For Couples

This is where Oceania shines. Everything onboard is set up for slow mornings, long dinners, and experiences designed to be enjoyed together. You can take a hands-on cooking class, get a couple’s massage at the Aquamar Spa, or just sit back with a cocktail and listen to live jazz in a cozy lounge. The vibe is intimate, the crowd is well-traveled, and there’s no pressure to do anything but enjoy the moment.

Loyalty Programs

Frequent cruisers with Oceania get more than just incredible voyages. They also unlock exclusive perks through the Oceania Club. Membership is automatic after your first sailing, and from there, the more you cruise, the more benefits you earn.

The program works on a credit system that’s quite simple. Shorter cruises earn one credit, while longer voyages can rack up multiple credits per trip. As you move up the tiers, the perks start to add up.

At the entry-level, Oceania Club members enjoy priority bookings, exclusive cocktail receptions, and discounts on Oceania-branded merchandise. Move up a few levels, and you’ll get onboard credits, prepaid gratuities, and spa treatment discounts. At the highest tiers, perks include VIP shore excursion check-in, complimentary laundry service, and even exclusive dinners with ship officers.

If Oceania is your cruise line of choice, the loyalty program makes it worth coming back. More sailings mean more rewards and the perks only get better over time.
