Launched in 2005 and one of the newest ships in the National Geographic-Lindblad fleet, National Geographic Endeavour II underwent a major refit in 2016 in order to replaced the original National Geographic Endeavour in the Galápagos archipelago. The fully stabilised expedition ship carries 96 guests and is outfitted with a range of expedition equipment including kayaks, Zodiac landing craft, a glass-bottom Zodiac and snorkelling gear.

There are 52 outside cabins, including seven sets of connecting cabins, which are ideal for families and friends. Each cabin has a window, private facilities and climate controls. There are nine single cabins and several suites. All cabins have Wi-Fi access, closet space for luggage storage, desk, hairdryer, robes and a bathroom with a shower.

Meals are served in a single seating with unassigned tables. The menu is international with an Ecuadorian flair. Breakfast and most lunches are buffets, while dinners have table service.

There is a small spa and fitness centre on board with modern workout machines. Exercise classes and wellness programs are available. Massages, facials, hand, body and foot treatments are available. There are also facilities for films, slide shows and presentations.

Activities for children are organised onboard. These may include stargazing, drawing, writing poetry, lectures or knot-tying lessons.
