Our last full day on board our beloved SeaDream I – what to do???

Seeing as we skipped Ibiza and Motril to avoid the bad weather, SeaDream I docked in Malaga early this morning, instead of later tonight as originally planned.

This worked to our benefit because the weather is summery in Malaga, and even though we disembarked after breakfast with grand plans of exploring the city and it’s sights, a few hours later we’re back ‘home’ on board and decided to stay put for the rest of the day.

It was a good decision too. Down on the Pool Deck we were lucky to snag some deck chairs in the sun near some new friends until dusk. In that time the waiters had offered us drinks, more drinks, ice creams, cool face towels, and more drinks.

One afternoon a waiter named Mikee even offered to clean our sunglasses. Out comes a little package of spray and a chamois, and some tools to tighten the screws. I can’t think of anything (within reason) that SeaDream’s staff don’t do!

The customary pre-dinner cocktails and gourmet canapés are served on the Pool Deck tonight. All guests are out tonight and, if you were an outsider, you would assume most people already knew each other before this cruise. The fact is, most arrived as couples and SeaDream I is just a good setting to meet people.

Tonights surprise is a performance by bartender Alex, the champion bottle thrower who can make your cocktail while juggling, wielding & throwing the bottles overhead!
