Cruise lines sailing out of the Port of Melbourne, which last week drove Cunard and Princess ships to halt port stops, are considering how to cope with the rises.
Cunard has announced it will stop homeporting the Queen Elizabeth in Australia from 2026 onwards. The ship will only visit the southern hemisphere on world cruise segments.
