See the best of the British Isles and the rugged beauty of Iceland on this Imagine Holidays cruise, fly, and stay package.

The holiday package includes a 14-night full-board cruise on the glorious Queen Anne, tickets to see the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo as well as four-nights in the Doubletree by Hilton Tower of London, three nights at the Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge as well as all flights, taxes, and transfers.

The hallmark of the holiday will be an incredible two-week cruise on the new Queen Anne, a ship by Cunard. Guests will get to soak in the bright green of Scotland’s everlasting countryside and the otherworldly land formations and features of rural Iceland.

Before and after the cruise, guests will enjoy stays in maybe the United Kingdom’s two most-enthralling cities, London and Edinburgh. Guests will return home with a camera reel full of surreal landscapes, but also the cultural enrichment that comes from city stays.

Particularly special is the chance to be one of the first to sail on Cunard’s new ship Queen Anne. She will be just a few months old when she sets off for the Scottish highlands, providing all the luxury of a brand-new ship.

Life on Queen Anne

Being the Royal cruise line, Cunard of course offers the royal treatment. The premium cruise experience emphasises comfort, elegant entertainment, and epicurean dining experiences.

The cruise line even recently announced it is teaming up with renowned Michelin-star chef Michel Roux to curate the dining experience onboard.

Guests will be some of the first to try the ship’s new restaurants. The traditional Japanese cuisine of Aji Wa, the steak and seafood of Sir Samuels, the multi-sensory Indian dining of Aranya, and more will be up for grabs.

Queen Anne is home to many activities across entertainment and wellness. From yoga classes to wine masterclasses to the famous daily afternoon tea, dull moments are sparse. There is plenty of focus on well-being and staying active, meaning you can spend the morning playing sports and the afternoon recovering in a luxury spa.

Entertainment keeps the ball rolling. Cunard offers especially sophisticated entertainment. As well as Broadway-style shows you may also catch cabaret, 3D cinema, glamorous gala evenings, orchestral concerts, ballet productions, and more.

The cruise

Following a one-night stay to settle in at Doubletree by Hilton Tower of London, it’ll be straight onto the ship for a British Isles Cruise. Guests will have two days at sea to settle into the Queen Anne and enjoy its extensive facilities.

Then the magic of the Scottish Highlands will begin, stopping at the village of Invergordon. This fairytale location offers castles framed by fjords and rolling hills, as well as access to the famous Loch Ness. From whisky distilleries to battlefields-turned-museums, the area’s beauty is matched by its history and culture.

Queen Anne will then pivot right to the tip of the Scottish mainland. The town of Kirkwall is surrounded by islands that bare little resemblance to anything else on Earth. Towering stone cliffs stand strong against the thundering ocean, and prehistoric villages offer insight into Viking life and heritage.

Following that excitement, there are another two days at sea. Guests may choose to recover from their days of exploration by choosing from the extensive Mareel Wellness & Beauty Spa menu.

Next, the bright green Scottish pastures are traded for the aqua hues of Blue Lagoon, at Reykjavik in Iceland.

After falling asleep in Iceland’s capital, guests will seemingly wake up in another world. Porting at Isafjordur will show off the bright colours of a small fishing town, framed on three sides by gigantic mountains. The town’s museum will provide insight into life in the small village, and a scenic cruise will show you the eight fjords that bring together the landscape.

The pattern of exploration will continue. Guests will enjoy an exploration of the small town of Akureyri, before a scenic cruise of the coastline once more. Along the way, guests will be told to keep their eyes open for whales, seals, eagles, puffins and more.

Following more sea days is a stop in the famous city of Glasgow. Gothic cathedrals, urban parks, and endless pubs will be ripe for a day of exploration.

London and Edinburgh

Following the cruise and much time in the wilderness, guests will be happy for the familiarity of a big city. There’ll be freedom to explore the city at whatever pace. With the endless music, history, shopping and nightlife of London there to be explored however you choose.

The city stays continue with a journey to Edinburgh. Edinburgh combines the culture of a big city with the quaint beauty of an old village.

Guests will be in the hilly capital for the famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. This traditional celebration brings together international military bands, dancers, bagpipes, marching and much more.
