Your fun holiday starts in Fremantle when you board P&O’s sleek Pacific Explorer for your 13-day cruise to Singapore, visiting five Southeast Asian treasures.

Thailand

After a night at sea, your first port of call is the Indonesian island of Lombok, the antithesis to bustling Bali. Restful Lombok is full of lush greenery and quiet beaches where you can swim, snorkel, surf and scuba dive without the crowds and be captivated by the colourful fish in the crystal clear waters. You can also go for a trek up Mount Rinjani to spot the island’s spectacular waterfalls followed by a relaxing massage on the beach.

After another night at sea, the Explorer will arrive at the charming town of Malacca, home to rich, Peranakan cuisine and culture. Make sure you visit the night market at Jonker Street to pick up some local trinket or artwork.

The next day, you will arrive at Penang, a paradise for street food from sour and spicy Penang laksa to char kway teow. Take a trishaw ride to George Town and visit Kek Lok Si, one the largest Buddhist temple complex in the region.

Heading north, Explorer will arrive at Phuket, Thailand’s largest island where you can explore Phang Nga Bay’s amazing limestone by canoe or trek in Khao Sok National Park.

Singapore

After another night at sea, you will reach the final destination of Singapore, the mesmerising metropolis of futuristic architecture, Hindu and Buddhist temples and sizzling, hawker stalls for some of the best chilli crab, its national dish. It is also home to the soaring Supertree structures which light up at sunset in a spectacle of light and sound at Gardens of the Bay. Check out the colonial-style Raffles Hotel and sip a Singapore Sling cocktail before heading off to the myriad of shopping complexes on Orchard Road for some serious retail therapy.
