Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day has sparked cruise lines to celebrate the Royal Wedding with live screenings and special onboard activities.

Cunard’s three ships – Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth – will screen the Royal Wedding at a high tea serving specially crafted Union Jack butterfly, Chocolate Crown and Victoria Wedding cake on top of the traditional finger cucumber sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam.

Bars will serve celebration cocktails with suitable titles like Princess Bride, The King’s Steed, Midnight over the Atlantic and P.S. I Love You.

Cunard will also host commemorative dinners in the main dining rooms with a celebration cake, modelled after the bride and groom, made of lemon and elderflower, washed down with champagne.

Princess Cruises has scheduled live screenings of the Royal Wedding on the top-deck movie screens and in bars and lounges on 17 of the line’s ships. It will also host Royal-related trivia quizzes.

Cruise & Maritime Voyages will mark the occasion with live screenings of the wedding on three of its ships – the Columbus, Magellan and Marco Polo. There will also be a British deck party with afternoon tea, a 60’s dance party featuring popular British songs, Royal trivia quizzes and food and drinks with a Royal Wedding theme.

So it looks like almost everyone will join in the wedding celebrations of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle next weekend – both on land and at sea.
