The wave season may be over but if you still want to chase away the winter blues and go on a break, here are some great winter cruise deals for you to choose from.

Carnival Spirit is offering up to 35 per cent discount for a weekend getaway from $449 per person for an inside cabin or $549pp for a balcony cabin. The cruise leaves Sydney on 5 July and returns on 8 July. Carnival is also offering a special deal where kids can sail free if two guests pay in full on selected itineraries provided the bookings are made before May 14.

If you enjoy having a good chortle on your holiday, then P&O Big Laugh Comedy cruise on the Pacific Explorer has a 30 per cent discount starting from $459pp for the four-night cruise from Sydney, departing on 20 June and returning on 24 June. The cruise will host the Big Laugh Comedy Festival spread over 36 shows. You will laugh your head off when you watch stand-up performances from comedians Dave Hughes, Jimeoin, Harley Breen and the Scared Weird Little Guys.

Further afield, you can go on an eight-day cruise of Japan on the Diamond Princess at $1000 pp in an interior cabin. Royal Caribbean’s Rhapsody of the Seas is offering a seven-night cruise departing Venice on 27 July at $2183pp for an inside cabin and you will get 60 per cent off the fare for the second passenger if you book before 6 June. Genting Dream is offering a special deal where the second guest pays only S$8 for a cruise from Singapore to various Asian destinations. For a three-night cruise departing Singapore to Phuket on 12 August, the first passenger will pay S$700 for an inside cabin.

APT has a 22-day land and cruise package to China starting from $13,995 pp with free flights for two people from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide. The tour departs on 28 August and returns on 18 September.
