Queen Victoria lit purple for International Women’s Day

To celebrate International Women’s Day, the luxurious and majestic Queen Victoria was lit purple on Tuesday, the international recognised colour for women’s rights.

She was also wearing a 60-metre long banner on her hull which was sporting this year’s message, #PledgeForParity.

A special function was held onboard for women from all different fields. The event was hosted by Ann Sherry, who was named the overall winner in the 2015 Australian Financial Review and Westpac’s 100 Women of Influence Awards. She is also the Executive Chairman of Carnival Australia.
