Voyager of the Seas will sail just one season in Australia – here’s what that means

  • Royal Caribbean’s has confirmed that Voyager of the Seas will sail out of Los Angeles for the 26/27 season.
  • This means that Voyager of the Seas will sail in Australia for just one season
  • Ships such as Navigator of the Seas or Quantum of the Seas could be replacements for Australia.

The incredible guessing game about which Royal Caribbean ships will be homeported in Australia goes on, with the biggest clue yet revealed.

It’s confirmed that Voyager of the Seas will have just one season in Australia, before sailing out of Los Angeles for the 2026/2027 season.

The official Los Angeles deployments for Royal Caribbean were finally released this week, including a surprising new homeport out of San Diego.

Possible scenarios for 26/27 Royal Caribbean Australian ships

  • The first being that Anthem of the Seas appears to be a lock to return for a second cruise season in Australia, it is currently scheduled by the NSW Port Authority to return to Australia for its second season of cruising on November 2, 2026. Given that it is in the port schedule and is yet to be announced for a different deployment, it appears likely that Anthem of the Seas will return to Australian waters for a second season.
  • It is now confirmed that Voyager of the Seas will sail just one season in Australia, in 2025/2026 and won’t return to Australia for the 2026/2027 season, despite currently being scheduled to sail out of Brisbane in the Brisbane cruise port schedule.
  • It is currently rumoured that Navigator of the Seas will come to Australia for the 2026/2027 season. The ship has sailed out of Los Angeles since 2021, but the latest deployments show that the ship won’t be returning. It is the same ship class and size as Voyager of the Seas, suggesting that Royal Caribbean has possibly done a reshuffle.
  • The other ship in play is Quantum of the Seas. Another Aussie favourite ship, Quantum of the Seas hasn’t been scheduled for another season out of Los Angeles, where it will sail for the 2025/2026 season, marking its departure from the Australian summer. While an ideal scenario for Australians would be the return of Quantum to Brisbane, meaning the return of two Quantum-class ships to Australia, this doesn’t appear the most likely scenario. Given that Ovation will sail the 2025/2026 season of Singapore, but has now been deployed to Los Angeles, it appears a straight swap is more likely. This will only be confirmed or disproven once Royal Caribbean officially announces its Singapore deployment for 2026/2027, which is currently expected in the week of March 17.

When will Aussies know for sure which ships we’re getting?

Australia’s Royal Caribbean deployments have been consistently delayed, and are now expected in the first week of June. This is about a mother later than when the 2025/2026 deployments were confirmed, in early April last year.
