To celebrate International Women’s Day, the luxurious and majestic Queen Victoria was lit purple on Tuesday, the international recognised colour for womenโs rights.
She was also wearing a 60-metre long banner on her hull which was sporting this yearโs message, #PledgeForParity.
A special function was held onboard for women from all different fields. The event was hosted by Ann Sherry, who was named the overall winner in the 2015 Australian Financial Review and Westpacโs 100 Women of Influence Awards. She is also the Executive Chairman of Carnival Australia.
