P&O has just announced a new ship will be entering Australian waters in 2017 – the Pacific Explorer will be joining Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden.

The 2000 guest ship will offer an array of dining experiences including Angelo’s Italian, Dragon Lady and Waterfront restaurant.

Like Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden, Pacific Explorer will be built using the lines’ new contemporary design palette.

The ship will have more than 400 balcony rooms as well as resort-style pool areas as well as The Pantry, a new style of dining which has been introduced on P&O’s ships.

P&O Cruises Senior Vice President Sture Myrmell said his team was busy working on the design of the latest member of the fleet.

“Just as we’re preparing to welcome Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden next month, we’re thrilled to have another ship on the horizon that will continue the exciting evolution of our modern Australian cruise product. We have grand plans for Pacific Explorer and we think her new features are going to cause a lot of excitement in the local industry,” said Mr Myrmell.

P&O will be converting the Dawn Princess into Pacific Explorer.
