If you had a cruise booked this year, chances are you have been left with a cruise credit rather than happy memories of a holiday at sea.

But when must you book to ensure you take advantage of the FCC? Every line that has offered credit has strict rules about when you need to make a new booking to avoid having your future cruise credit expire.

Here is a line-by-line run down of when you have to book:

APT

Credit with APT is valid for travel with any APT brands up to the end of 2022. This means even if your next holiday isn’t a cruise, you can still use your APT credit.

Azamara

Azamara ‘Cruise with Confidence’ future cruise credits expire on December 31, 2021 or 12 months from the cancellation date, whichever is further out. Book before this date.

Carnival Cruise Line

Following a recent extension, Carnival Cruise Line will allow you to use your credit if you book a cruise before 31 May 2021 for a sailing by 30 April 2023. After this, the credit will expire.

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity ‘Cruise with Confidence’ future cruise credits expire on December 31, 2021 or 12 months from the cancellation date, whichever is further out. Book before this date.

Coral Expeditions

Coral Expeditions encourages guests to use credit within 24 months. However it can be extended as required. Guests will not have any additional fees or price rises on like-for-like cruises.

Cunard

Future cruise credit with Cunard must be redeemed against any booking made before 31 December 2021.

Dream Cruises

FCC is redeemable for sailing from Singapore on or before 30 September 2021

Holland America Line

You must use the future cruise credit towards a future Holland America Line (HAL) cruise booking within 12 months from date of issue or it will be forfeited in its entirety. HAL future cruise credit is only valid on cruises sailing through 2022.

MSC Cruises

MSC issued future cruise credit can be used on any sailings departing on or before December 31, 2022.

Norwegian Cruise Line

All Norwegian Cruise Line future cruise credits must be redeemed within one year from date of issue and can be used for sailings departing on or before December 31, 2022.

Oceania Cruises

Future cruise credit with Oceania Cruises is valid for redemption for one year from the date of issue for travel departing no later than 31st December 2022.

P&O Cruises Australia

P&O Cruises Australia will allow you until 31 December 2021 to rebook your cruise with your future cruise credit.

Ponant

Cruise credit issued by Ponant is valid for 24 months from the date of the cruise cancellation.

Princess Cruises

All Princess Cruises credits expire on May 1, 2022 and must be used towards a Princess Cruises sailing through December 31, 2022.

Regent Seven Seas

Future Cruise Credits must be applied within one year of issuance on a Regent Seven Seas reservation for sailings outlined at the time of issue.

Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean ‘Cruise with Confidence’ future cruise credits expire on December 31, 2021 or 12 months from the cancellation date, whichever is further out. Book before this date.

Scenic

For Ocean and River Cruise bookings, the flexible conditions for the future credit voucher are valid for travel commenced through to 31 December 2023.

Seabourn

Seabourn future cruise credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue and may then be used to book sailings departing through December 31, 2022.

Silversea future cruise credit has 2 years of validity from the issuing date.

Viking

You will have 24 months to select a new date for a Viking cruise and use your Risk-Free Guarantee Future Cruise Voucher to make a new reservation on any river, ocean or expedition cruise.
