Grand Princess is 100 days away from Australia – and it is already selling out

• Grand Princess is set to return to Australia in 100 days, and according to Princess’s website, she appears to be selling fast.
• She’ll will sail essentially year-round in Australia, including an almost three-month sailing around the Pacific.
• She’ll be filling the shoes of Crown Princess, which proved to be one of the fastest selling ships in the world during its time in Australia.

The Grand Princess is just 100 days away from returning to Australian waters. Once the ship arrives, it will sail nearly entirely in Australia for an entire year and a half.

Grand Princess will be here in Australia from November 2027 until March 2028. This also comes as Princess celebrates 50 years of cruising in Australia.

Grand Princess will be stepping into big shoes as Princess’s year-round in Australia. It will take over from Crown Princess, which Cruise Passenger analysis showed to be one of the fastest selling ships in the world.

Grand Princess entered service in 1998, is seven years older than Crown Princess, and was last remodelled in 2011.

However, Grand Princess is also showing early signs of being a fast-selling ship during her time in Australia. The ship is already sold out on a South Australia itinerary for October 2027, and several of the longer cruises for mid-2027 are increasing in price, suggesting they’re on the verge of selling out due to the ship’s popularity.

Grand Princess is unlikely to sell as fast as Crown Princess, as it will throughout 2027. Princess will return to having three ships total in Australia, with the return of Sapphire Princess and Royal Princess.

You’ll be able to find all types of sailings on Grand Princess, ranging from short ‘Seacations’ that either sail to nowhere or visit one port such as Newcastle or Eden. There’s also a range of itineraries to Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia, New Zealand and more.

Grand Princess will offer some surprisingly exciting sailings is in its cruises out to the Pacific. Rather than only visit New Caledonia and Vanuatu, each Pacific sailing will also visit either Fiji or Papua New Guinea.

These itineraries include a 13-day sailing which visits three ports in Fiji, starting at less than $200 a night, a two-week Queensland and Papua New Guinea cruise starting from $2849 and a two-week Fiji and South Pacific cruise, starting from $3049.
