Cruise Passenger was the first to break the news last week that Anthem of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas are on their way to Australia in 2025/2026. While Voyager has sailed here before, Anthem will be visiting Aussie shores for its first ever visit.

Anthem of the Seas is a Quantum Class ship, meaning it isn’t significantly different to Quantum of the Seas or Ovation of the Seas. The good news is that all your favourite restaurants and activities on those ships will be returning.

However, this doesn’t mean that you can expect nothing new to Australia when sailing on Anthem of the Seas. Anthem has a range of experiences that no one’s been able to have on a Royal Caribbean cruise out of Australia before.

These include a brand-new restaurant, two highly acclaimed shows and even a special surprise with The Wiggles. Here, we run you through five new things you can look forward to on Anthem of the Seas when it arrives on our shores in less than two years.

Dine old-school at Johnny Rockets restaurant

While Anthem will not be serving up a wildly different variety of what you would get on Ovation and Quantum, there will be the chance to try a brand new restaurant, Johnny Rockets.

Johnny Rockets is a popular chain restaurant in America, which you can also find on Anthem of the Seas. The eatery serves up classic American bites, with retro decor and a vintage, throwback feel to the ambiance. You can view the menu here.

On the menu you’ll find American classics like a Chicken Club Sandwich, hot dogs, loaded fries, tuna melts, a range of burgers and more. The menu is a la carte, not a flat fee, so you’ll be charged by the item for whatever you order.

For an insider tip, if more than one of the milkshake flavours are jumping out at you, feel free to indulge and ask the staff if they can make you a mix of two.

It’s a specialty restaurant so the food isn’t included in your cruise fare, but it’s long been a favourite not just on Anthem of the Seas and Oasis class Royal Caribbean ships but around the USA, meaning it’s definitely worth a go.

The restaurant is right beside the pool area, and you’re free to go to the restaurant in casual attire and dine away. You can enjoy the quality of a specialty restaurant with the relaxed atmosphere of a main dining room meal.

Sing along to Queen at We Will Rock You

On Anthem of the Seas guests can sing along to classics by Queen, such as I Want to Break Free, Radio Ga Ga, Bohemian Rhapsody and as you might expect, We Will Rock You. The production even took home a prestigious Oliver Award, for excellence in theatre.

While a seat is included in your fare, be sure to make a booking in your cruise planner.

Written by renowned comedian and author Ben Elton, the show ran for 12-years in London, performing to over six-and-half million people. The story takes place in a future-world, where rock ’n’ roll is banned. However, a group of people band together to perform classic Queen songs to rally against ‘GlobalSoft’, the company that put at end to rock ’n’ roll.

Guests can look forward to a full ensemble and band reimagining songs by Queen, with elaborate staging and extravagant audiovisual production featuring throughout. If you’d like a sneak peek of the show you can have a look here, but we’d recommend you wait for the real thing!

See the mind-unravelling ‘The Gift’

The Gift is an original musical by Royal Caribbean, which Aussies will now be able to check out on Anthem of the Seas. The Gift happens in the Royal Theatre, with entry included in the price of your cruise, and you can easily make yourself a reservation in your cruise planner.

The storyline is intricate, often leading to debate on cruise forums as cruisers weigh on the potential meaning of certain scenes and characters. In short, the gift follows a family that since the passing of their mother, have become estranged from one another.

The mother can see the family for the spirit world she lives in, and decides to send them a magical gift. To say more would involve spoilers, but the family receive the gift and embark on a long and winding journey that requires them to face up to each other about their distance relationship and come together once again.

Learn Latin dance, then party

Anyone who has given Latin dance a go will know that once you shed your inhibitions and pick up some moves, it’s a great time. Anthem of the Seas is the perfect place to try Latin dancing for the first time or hone your already silky-smooth skills.

Salsa dancing is already found on Quantum and Ovation. But Anthem specialises in several styles including salsa, merengue, cha-cha and the very intimate bachata.

Afterwards, the party continues at Boleros, where you can dance into the night with your new found skills.

Sail with the Wiggles

Anthem of the Seas will play host to some of Australia’s brand new Wiggles sailings. Bringing the ultimate family band to one of the worlds most famed family holidays.

The Wiggles will be onboard sailings putting on live concerts and hosting special character events. Guests can even purchase exclusive Royal Caribbean x The Wiggles merch.

There are three Wiggles itineraries on Anthem of the Seas, with two options in the South Pacific and one in Queensland. The South Pacific sailings are November 20, 2025 and March 13, 2026, respectively. The Queensland sailing leaves on February 6.

Anthem will be homeporting in Sydney, meaning all the Anthem Wiggles itineraries will leave from Sydney.

The Wiggles will move from Ovation of the Seas to Anthem of the Seas.
