Crystal River Cruises officially launched its first river ship, the Crystal Mozart in Vienna, Austria on July 13.

The Crystal Mozart is the first river vessel to be launched by the company, with an additional three vessels to follow next year.

She was christened by Godmother Elisabeth Gürtler who is the managing director of the Hotel Sacher, Vienna’s most famous hotel.

Crystal’s CEO and president Edie Rodriguez personally welcomed each guest on the inaugural sailing aboard the revamped MS Mozart.

Guests will have spacious suites, personal butlers, six-star services and amazing dining experiences.

“This is an extraordinary time for our company, as our expansion from the world’s oceans to its rivers and air allows for numerous new opportunities and ways for travelers to explore the world with us,” said Ms Rodriguez.

“Each new vessel and adventure is another step for Crystal toward our goal of providing savvy global travelers with virtually every luxury travel experience they can possibly imagine.”

Crystal River Cruises Vice President and Managing Director Walter Littlejohn said the company’s entrance into the market would bring upon a change to the river cruise scene.

“Crystal’s presence on the rivers of Europe absolutely raises the bar of excellence for the luxury river cruising industry, a standard the company set long ago when it entered the luxury ocean cruising market,” he said.

“We are thrilled to introduce a new way to explore the world with the highly-acclaimed Crystal Experience.”
