Australia has welcomed the beloved Disney Wonder back to its Sydney homeport as part of Disney Cruise Line’s continued presence Down Under.
In its 2025 season, Disney Wonder offers two- to ten-night itineraries. She will make port calls to Melbourne, Hobart, Brisbane, as well as Auckland and other New Zealand destinations like Wellington and Christchurch.
The cruise line has also announced that Disney Wonder will return for a second season over the 2025/26 sailing period, continuing its popular ‘Disney Magic at Sea‘ experience.
2025/26 Itineraries and Destinations
Disney Wonder’s 2025/26 season has plenty to keep cruisers happy, with itineraries that cover Australia, New Zealand, and even the South Pacific. If you’re wondering what’s on the agenda, here’s a snapshot:
Between October 2025 and February 2026, Disney Wonder will cruise out of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Auckland. Think of short getaways and longer voyages, with stops in places like Hobart, Christchurch, and even Fiordland National Park. A highlight? The 10-night Trans-Tasman trip from Auckland to Sydney over Christmas—because what’s better than spending the holidays exploring New Zealand’s most beautiful spots?
In February, the ship heads out on a 15-night trip from Sydney to Honolulu. Stops include Noumea, Suva, and Pago Pago—basically a dream lineup of tropical islands.
After arriving in Honolulu, the Disney Wonder cruise sticks around for a 10-night cruise exploring the Hawaiian Islands. It’s a chance to dive into Maui’s beaches or Hilo’s lush landscapes before the ship moves on.
By March 2026, Disney Wonder will make its way back to Vancouver, where it’ll kick off its Alaskan cruise season. Glaciers, wildlife, and that crisp northern air? Yes, please.
This season has a little bit of everything—beach vibes, scenic landscapes, and Disney magic along the way.

Dining and Culinary Experience
Disney Cruise Line offers pioneering Rotational Dining, with guests of Disney Wonder also experiencing the same option. Here, guests and their servers are rotated through the three complimentary restaurants on offer throughout their journey, making sure they experience each one.
The three restaurants are Animator’s Palate, Tiana’s Place, and Triton’s. Each stateroom aboard Disney Wonder is also assigned to a specific restaurant to have dinner each night. Dining assignments are listed in the Disney Cruise Line app.
Guests may also opt to book premium dining at the adults-only specialty restaurant, Palo, which offers an exquisite menu of Northern Italian cuisine for an additional fee. Note that Remy is not available on Disney Wonder, as it is exclusive to Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.
Other dining venues on Disney Wonder include Cabanas which is a casual buffet-style restaurant serving international dishes for breakfast and lunch. There is also Pinocchio’s Pizzeria, where guests can grab freshly made pizzas throughout the day.
For a quick sweet treat, Eye Scream Treats has delicious soft-serve ice cream with a variety of flavours and toppings. For a savoury treat, Pete’s Boiler Bites serves up grilled favourites like burgers and hot dogs by the pool.
If you’re after something lighter, Daisy’s De-Lites has fresh salads, sandwiches, and fruit, perfect for a healthier option. And then there’s also Preludes, located just outside the Walt Disney Theatre, offering snacks and drinks like popcorn and pretzels to enjoy before or during the evening’s entertainment.
These options ensure there’s something for every taste, whether it’s a hearty buffet, quick bites, or a sweet ice cream cone to enjoy on deck.
Onboard Activities [Family, Kids and Couple]
Disney Wonder features both water slides and splash areas for younger kids. They can try the Twist ‘n’ Spout water slide as well as AquaLab. The Quiet Cove is a go-to place for guests to enjoy some peace and quiet, which has been designed for those 18 years and older.
The ship also houses the 977-seater Walt Disney Theater, where original Disney productions are showcased. The Buena Vista Theatre, located on Deck 5, shows first-run Disney films, such as Snow White, Cinderella, and others.
The Promenade Lounge hosts activities like Disney trivia or character drawing. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is where kids can have their own salon experiences and be transformed into their favourite Disney characters.
Disney Wonder also has The Chill Spa, designed for teens aged 13–17 years. For adults, there is the Senses Spa & Salon, which offers an array of treatments, including facials and massages, as well as steam rooms and a Turkish-style hammam.
Since Disney Cruise Line is known for its family-oriented activities, parents may opt to bring their children to It’s a Small World Nursery, which provides babysitting services for those aged three months to three years old. Additionally, there’s the Oceaneer Club, which provides an activity program for children aged three to 12.
Disney Wonder also highlights its Pirates in the Caribbean party, which kicks off in the dining room and then moves to a pool deck party close to Goofy’s pool.
There are also a number of bars and lounges to choose from for adults, including the Crown & Fin Pub, Azure, and the Promenade Lounge. Note that Sully’s Lips is not listed as one of the ship’s venues.
Deck Plan
Disney Wonder’s deck plan highlights a total of 11 decks, and 11 dining options including six restaurants, 10 lounges and bars, three swimming pools, four outdoor Jacuzzis, and 12 elevators.
Staterooms are located on Decks 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Concierge Suites are also located on Deck 8.

Bar and Nightclub
Disney Wonder isn’t just about keeping the kids happy—it’s got plenty for adults looking to unwind too. Whether you’re after a quiet drink, live music, or a place to dance, you’re covered.
For something low-key, head to the Cadillac Lounge on Deck 3. It’s a classic piano bar with a relaxed vibe—perfect for a cocktail and some live music after dinner. Just down the way, the Crown & Fin Pub offers a cozy British pub feel. Think dark wood, comfy seating, trivia nights, and maybe even a game of footy on the TV.
If you’re up for something more lively, Azure is the ship’s nightclub with an under-the-sea theme (because Disney, of course). It’s where you’ll find dancing, game shows, and live entertainment most evenings. Then there’s the French Quarter Lounge, which takes its cues from The Princess and the Frog. It’s got that New Orleans energy, complete with jazz and cocktails that practically demand a toast.
For those moments when you just want to soak up the view with a drink in hand, Signals on Deck 9 is the spot. It’s an outdoor bar near the adults-only Quiet Cove Pool, so you’re guaranteed a bit of serenity. If coffee (or coffee with a little extra) is more your speed, Cove Café is right nearby—a cozy nook for specialty brews, teas, or something stronger.
Disney Wonder manages to strike that rare balance: a ship that’s all about family fun, but with enough grown-up spaces to let adults kick back and enjoy themselves too.
Entertainment
Disney Wonder doesn’t hold back when it comes to entertainment (it’s Disney magic, after all). In the mood for a spectacular stage show, a movie night, or something a bit more lively? There’s plenty to keep you busy.
One of the big hits onboard is Frozen: A Musical Spectacular. It’s everything you’d expect—Elsa belting out “Let It Go,” incredible costumes, and a performance that makes you forget you’re on a ship in the middle of the ocean. If that’s not enough, there’s The Golden Mickeys, a celebration of all things Disney, with music, dance, and characters from classic films popping up throughout.
If movies are more your thing, head to the Buena Vista Theatre. This isn’t just some small screen in a corner, but a proper cinema showing first-run Disney films.
Then there are the deck parties. The Pirates in the Caribbean bash is a crowd favourite, complete with music, dancing, and surprise appearances from Disney characters. Let’s just say you won’t forget the sight of Captain Jack Sparrow against the backdrop of a starry night.
With so much going on, it’s impossible to be bored. Whether you’re into big productions or just want to soak up the atmosphere, Disney Wonder has you covered.
Ship Facts
Disney Wonder was crafted by the Italian shipbuilders at Fincantieri and made its grand debut on August 15, 1999. It’s the second ship in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet, and if it feels familiar, that’s because it shares a lot of its design with its sister ship, Disney Magic.
At 84,000 gross tonnage, the ship spans 300m in length is 52.3m high (984 feet x 171.5 feet) and cruises at a speed of 22.3 knots.
Disney Wonder has 11 decks and can host up to 2,400 guests in 877 staterooms, with about 950 crew members on hand to keep everything running smoothly. It’s registered in Nassau, Bahamas, which is why you’ll see the Bahamian flag waving proudly at its stern.
The design of the ship leans into Art Nouveau, with flowing lines and floral details that give it a softer, more whimsical feel compared to the sharp Art Deco of Disney Magic. It’s like stepping into another era—but don’t worry, the Wi-Fi and modern luxuries are still there.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in the price of a Disney Wonder cruise?
A lot, actually. Your cruise fare covers your stateroom, all meals at the main dining rooms and casual eateries, plus plenty of entertainment, like Broadway-style shows, deck parties, and access to pools and water slides. Kids’ programs, including the Oceaneer Club and Lab, are also included. However, extras like specialty dining at Palo, spa treatments, shore excursions, Wi-Fi, and gratuities will cost you a bit more.
Are there babysitting services available onboard?
Yes, there are! The “It’s a Small World” nursery is available for babies and toddlers aged 6 months to 3 years. It’s staffed by trained counsellors, so you can enjoy a little downtime while your little one is cared for in a safe, fun environment. There’s a small additional fee for the nursery, and reservations are recommended, especially during peak times.
What are the age limits for children’s programs like the Oceaneer Club?
The Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab are designed for kids aged 3 to 10, offering themed play areas, character interactions, and plenty of activities to keep them entertained. For tweens aged 11 to 14, there’s Edge, a cool hangout with games and tech, while teens aged 14 to 17 have Vibe, a more laid-back space for socializing and fun. There’s something for every age group onboard.
How do I meet Disney characters onboard?
Character meet-and-greets are a big part of the enchanted classic Disney storytelling experience. You’ll find scheduled times and locations for characters like Mickey, Minnie, and the Princesses in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or your daily activity guide. Some meet-and-greets, like Anna and Elsa from Frozen, might require reservations, so it’s a good idea to book in advance. You can also catch characters at special dining experiences or themed events for some magic at sea.
Is the cruise all-inclusive?
Not entirely. While your fare includes your stateroom, meals at the main dining areas, entertainment, and most activities, there are a few extras here and there. Specialty dining, alcoholic beverages, spa treatments, shore excursions, Wi-Fi, and gratuities aren’t included in the base price.
Is there a particular dress code onboard?
For the most part, the Disney Wonder cruise ship keeps things casual and family-friendly. In the main dining rooms, cruise casual is the standard—think sundresses, khakis, or jeans (just leave the tank tops and swimwear for the pool deck). For adult-exclusive dining venues like Palo, you’ll want to dress it up a bit—collared shirts for men and dresses or smart-casual attire for women. And don’t forget themed nights like Pirate Night, where costumes are encouraged!
