Whale sharks, Komodo dragons and crocodiles – what more can you ask for if you are seeing them from the comfort of your super-luxe motor yacht, Paspaley Pearl by Ponant.
Designed to accommodate only 30 guests with 21 crew to look after your every need, the motor yacht will explore the most bio-diverse regions of Raja Ampat in Indonesia, Rowley Shoals in Australia and Tufi in Papua New Guinea.
Ponant has just unveiled its inaugural digital brochure to take adventurous travellers on a transformative experience onboard Paspaley Pearl by Ponant which will debut in January 2025.
The partnership between pearl retailer, Paspaley and French expedition line, Ponant will open new experiences in the Kimberley as Paspaley has been navigating the pristine waters of Australia’s ancient north-west for more than 80 years as pearling pioneers.
The launch of Paspaley Pearl by Ponant marks a “significant milestone in the development of boutique expedition travel offering a benchmark-setting standard of excellence in the Asia Pacific region,” the brochure said.
All itineraries will be accompanied by four seasoned naturalist guides, known for their wealth of knowledge and passion for exploration.
Onboard dining options include locally-inspired cuisine with rare seafood sourced from the Kimberley region including pearl meat, northern prawns and barramundi. Dishes and menus have been designed by experienced chef Serge Dansereau, formerly of Bathers Pavillion who will showcase premium Australian meat.
Guests will go behind the scenes at one of Paspaley’s pearl farms to learn how pearls are cultivated. They will learn about the majestic, ancient traditions of the Gwion Gwion and Wandjina rock art in the Kimberley. They can also go fishing for wild barramundi in the Kimberley’s best fishing spots.
In PNG, they will experience vibrant festivals and mesmerising rituals and go snorkelling with a pod of whale sharks.
Paspaley Pearl by Ponant will kick off with a 10-night voyage to experience whale sharks, Komodo dragons and mystic cultures from Dili to Bali departing on 10 January. Prices start from $17,495pp for a ocean stateroom to $27,495 pp for a Pearl Suite.
The yacht will head to Raja Ampat and the Spice Islands for a 12-night expedition from Dili to Dili departing on 30 January and 11 February 2025. Prices start from $20,995pp to $30,995pp.
It will then head to the Kimberley from April to September. Prices start from $18,495pp to $28,995pp.
It will then sail to PNG from October to November 2025.
There’s also a shorter 7-night Pearling Coast itinerary from Broome to Broome. Prices start from $13,995pp to $22,995pp. A 9-night Rowley Shoals & Kimberley Coast voyage from Broome to Broome. Prices start from $17,995pp to $28,995pp.
