Reservations have opened for Rosewood Munich, the first property in Germany for the luxurious Rosewood brand. Reservations can be made from September 29 onwards.
The new property marks the 7th hotel in Europe for Rosewood and 32nd overall.
What was once the State Bank of Bavaria and a grand aristocratic residence will now be the new home for the Rosewood Munich. The location is right in the middle of the city, nearby Marienplatz and the main shopping district.
The hotel was designed by Munich architecture firm Hilmer Sattler and London interior design studio Tara Bernerd & Partners. The design was done with the intention of blending the historic qualities of the old buildings with contemporary luxury.
The interior is mansion-like, with high ceilings and frescos, as well as a restored centre courtyard.
Alpine-inspired food will be available at Cuvillies, where breakfast, lunch and dinner will all be available. Austrian and Italian inspired Alpine dishes with be made from seasonal ingredients. Furthermore, Rosewood Munich will have Bar Montez, with an extensive wine and cocktail list. Bar Montez will also have live music for both hotel guests and those stopping by.Â
There is also a sizeable 1300 square metre spa, Asaya Spa. The spa will have a vitality indoor pool, two saunas, a steam room and six treatment rooms. As well as wellness suites, a fitness centre with Technogym equipment and more.
