It’s a big year for 2019, with 21 ships on order for 2019.

Everything from mega ships, to smaller boutique ocean vessels, these are some of the cool features you can find onboard. So if you’re cruising on one of these ships in 2019, be sure to check it out.

1. Magic Carpet on Celebrity Edge

While she might be launched in 2018, there has been much anticipation around the arrival of the Celebrity Edge. She’s hailed as one of the most technologically advanced ships on the water – everything from her hardware, to her activities, she really does look like a new age ship. The Magic Carpet is a cantilevered platform floating platform which moves up and down the side of the Edge. It’s the size of a tennis court and changes functionality as it moves from deck to up to deck 16. On the bottom, the Magic Carpet can be used to board the ship’s tender boats and on the top levels, it will be used to host late night parties, dinners and barbeques.

2. Virtual assistant Zoe on MSC Bellissima

Ever wanted your own personal assistant? Well a new digital assistant aboard MSC Bellissima will be able to help passengers find out information that’s normally asked at the guest relations desk. Zoe, will be available in seven languages; English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Brazilian Portuguese and Mandarin. Zoe, which is part of the newest phase of the evolution of MSC for Me, will be able to answer your questions in your stateroom.

3. The Family Suite on Spectrum of the Seas

Royal Caribbean’s new Quantum-class ship, bound for Asia will have many of the features as one of her sisters, Ovation of the Seas. But without a doubt, one of the newest cool features aboard the ship will be the Family Suite which can accommodate 11 people. Aside from having its own private massive balcony, there will also be a slide inside the suite itself. It has three bedrooms with a bathroom that also extends over the side of the ship.

4. Sportsquare on the Carnival Panorama

The latest ship from Carnival Cruise Line, the Carnival Panorama will have some amazing features, including the Sportsquare for the entire family. Included in this area is the SkyRide which was originally pioneered on the Carnival Vista. The SkyRide is a bike course where guests are strapped and can zip around the course which is suspended over the ships’ top deck. Also in the area is the SkyGreens putting green, a basketball court as well as a ropes course.

5. Sky Suites on the Sky Princess

The latest ship from one of Australia’s favourite lines, has some beautiful new suites which can hold up to five guests. The Sky Suite has the largest balcony at sea which offers a 270-degree panorama view throughout your voyage. The suite will be well appointed and you can even host your own celebrations or parties in your suite.
