Launched in 1986, Wind Star is an elegant sailing ship with four masts reaching up 204 feet and six triangular, self-furling, computer-operated sails. There is plenty of open teak-wood deck space, ideal for passengers to take in the views. As a ritual, when Wind Star sets sail, “Conquest of Paradise” is played – the sails unfurling as the music builds. Wind Star’s interior design is welcoming and polished. It has four decks and carries 148 passengers and 88 crew.

Verdict

Fantastic Greek Isles Experience

– Cruise Passenger

“…We were treated like royalty. Everyone knew our names, everyone knew our events, the crew from top to bottom (and I talked to the captain and our steward) were personal and friendly, and everyone wanted the experience to be the best possible. Even though the cruise had to adjust its ports of call on the fly, every stop was lovely and there were wonderful shore excursions available, as well as wind surfing, water skiing & sailing off of the boat in certain ports…”
