Princess has revealed new behind-the-scenes images of the Star Princess.

The ship is six months away from launch and is under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.

The 178,000 gross tonne ship will float out on September 26, 2024.

Star Princess is taking shape beautifully,” the cruise line said.

“As her fall debut approaches, progress continues to unfold in Monfalcone, Italy, bringing us closer to unveiling a new level of elegance and adventure at sea.”

According to Cruise Hive, the Piazza, the heart of the ship, is still covered for protection as the team completes the work on the Star Princess.

What’s inside the Star Princess?

The Star Princess is the second ship of the line’s Sphere class.

Due to the popularity of some of the dining options, two specialty restaurants – O’Malley’s Irish Pub and Love by Britto – will be expanded to include more seating for diners.

For the sports lovers, there will be new pickleball and basketball courts as well as a new jogging track.

As the second ship in the innovative and elegant Sphere class, Star Princess will be a star of the fleet indeed.

The exclusive Sanctuary Collection will have premium staterooms and private areas for lounging and dining for guests in this ‘ship-within-a-ship’ concept.

The Sanctuary Club retreat has a spa-like experience on the top deck of the ship. There are private cabanas where guests can get dedicated food and beverage service.

The space will also have sail-away receptions as well as sunrise yoga sessions.

“After the overwhelming response to Sun Princess, we are excited to debut her sister ship, Star Princess, with added enhancements to elevate the guest experience,” said Princess said.

There will be two shake-down cruises from Barcelona before the Star Princess sets sail for the Caribbean on October 22, 2025, for a 14-night one-way transatlantic cruise.

The ship will then sail from Port Everglades around the Eastern and Western Caribbean. It will visit destinations like Cozumel, Belize, Grand Turk, and Princess Cruises’ private island in the Bahamas, Princess Cays.
