Silver Shadow

Silversea Cruises spent US$150 million to build Silver Shadow. It was launched in 2000 and underwent refurbishing in 2011. The luxurious 28,258 tonne ship is recommended for well-travelled, well-heeled couples and individuals over 50 years old. It has a passenger capacity of 388 and a crew of 295.

Accommodation

Silver Shadow is an all-suite ship. There are eight suite categories, ranging from Vista Suites (287 square feet) and Veranda Suites (345 sqaure feet) to Royal Suites (1,352 square feet) and Grand Suites (1,409-1,435 square feet). All suites have marble-floored bathrooms with double vanities, bath and separate shower, pillow menus, Frette bed linen, sitting area, dressing table and walk-in closet.

Food

The main Dining room on board Silver Shadow is The Restaurant, which has open seating and serves Mediterranean cuisine. For an extra cost, Le Champagne provides intimate meals with wines selected by Relais & Chรขteaux sommeliers. The less formal La Terrazza has breakfast and lunch buffets. Guests can also opt for in-suite dining served by a waiter course by course.

Activities

The Mandara Spa on board Silver Shadow offers a full range of treatments and services including manicure, pedicure and Indian scalp massage. The fitness centre is equipped with exercise machines and weights. There is a swimming pool, hot tubs and artificial turf for walking or jogging.

Families

While Silver Shadow does not prohibit children, it does not have special facilities, entertainment or formal programs for kids.
