Riviera was launched in 2012 and features a magnificent Lalique grand staircase, Owner’s Suites furnished by Ralph Lauren Home and designer touches throughout. This cruise ship suits mature cruisers who enjoy good food and service and a relaxed, country club ambiance. The 66,084 tonne ship has 11 passenger decks and can carry 1,250 guests and 800 crew.

There are 629 staterooms and suites on Riviera, in 17 price categories, ranging from 174 square foot Inside Staterooms to Owner’s Suites that measures more than 2,000 square feet. Most outside rooms have teak-decked balconies and all have Queen-size bed with 1,000-thread-count linens, refrigerated mini-bar with free and unlimited soft drinks and bottled water replenished daily, Bulgari toiletries, Belgian chocolates with nightly turndown service, flat-screen television with live satellite news and programming, DVD player, Wi-Fi, safe, hairdryer, robes and slippers.

Riviera has various restaurants on board. The Grand Dining Room has open seating for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves European cuisine. Casual meals are available at the Terrace Café (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and Waves Grill (lunch). There are also specialty restaurants for dinner, which require reservations. Jacques is fashioned on a French bistro, Polo Grill is a steak house, Red Ginger serves contemporary interpretations of Asian classics and Toscana serves Tuscan and other Italian cuisine.

The Canyon Ranch SpaClub has a spa terrace, steam rooms, styling salon, treatment rooms and a whirlpool. It offers services such as skincare, acupuncture, body wraps, Ayurveda and exotic treatments. The fitness centre has the latest exercise equipment and classes in indoor cycling, aerobics, Pilates and yoga. There is a large heated pool and a sports deck with a golf putting green, shuffleboard, paddle tennis, fitness track for walking and jogging and croquet/bocce.
