There are 1,194 staterooms in 35 different categories on board Norwegian Jewel, ranging from 138 square metre inside cabins to the lavish accommodation in The Haven at the top of the ship, with 24-hour butler service, concierge and private sundeck. Standard cabins have ample storage space and various amenities (salon-style hairdryer, mirrored vanity tables, mini-fridge, television and writing table).

There are many different dining destinations on board Norwegian Jewel. Tsar’s Palace and Azura are the main dining rooms and offer freestyle dining so guests can dine when and where they like. The Great Outdoors is an outdoor buffet featuring prepared-to-cook omelettes, waffles, fruit, soups, ethnic specialties and pasta. O’’Sheehan’’s serves American classics and comfort food 24 hours a day. For hot dogs and hamburgers, there’s the casual Sky High Bar & Grill. Specialty restaurants include: Cagney’’s Steakhouse (premium steaks and seafood), Teppanyaki Room (Japanese), Le Bistro (French), La Cucina (Italian) and Moderno Churrascaria (Brazilian barbecue).

The Bora Bora spa and fitness centre has a beauty salon and treatment rooms for Western and Eastern style facials and massages. The gym has modern equipment, a hydrotherapy pool, and fitness classes. Plenty of space has been set aside for kids on Norwegian Jewel. The Splash Academy is lots of open space for active games plus an artist craft area for younger kids. The Sapphire Kid’s Pool has slides and a paddling pool. For teenagers, Club Underground  is designed to look and feel like the New York Subway, complete with graffiti. – Cruise Passenger [/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1475212357153{padding-right: 5% !important;padding-left: 5% !important;}”]My husband has always wanted to traverse the Panama Canal so this was a “bucket list” cruise. Overall, the Jewel is a great ship – easy to navigate, friendly crew, good food, excellent shows and a comfortable cabin. We had cabin 8010 with Gede as our steward. He did a wonderful job and other than a light bulb going bad in the bathroom in the middle of the night (no one’s fault) and a leak outside our door (quickly fixed), we were pleased with both the cabin and the service. We ate dinner most nights in Azura and tried to sit in Karin’s section.
