Norwegian Dawn was launched in 2002 and underwent refurbishing projects in 2016. It has a length of 965 feet and a gross tonnage of 92,250. Passengers range from families with young children to retirees who enjoy casual cruising at affordable prices. Norwegian Dawn has 11 passenger decks and can carry 2,340 passengers and 1,032 crew.

There are 1,238 staterooms in a broad range of categories, from 142 square feet interior cabins to 6,694 square feet, three-bedroom Garden Villas with large balconies. All cabins have ample storage space and various amenities (salon-style hairdryer, mirrored vanity table, mini-fridge, television and toiletries by Elemis).

Norwegian Dawn has a variety of dining venues. Aqua and Venetian are the main dining rooms and offer freestyle dining (not set time or table). Specialty restaurants include: Moderno Churrascaria (Brazilian steakhouse), Teppanyaki and Sushi (Japanese); Cagney’s Steakhouse; Le Bistro (French); Los Lobos (Mexican cantina); and La Cucina (Italian).

The Mandara Spa has a full-service beauty salon and a wide range of spa treatments. There’s a full-service gym with aerobics/fitness classes offered daily, three pools, a jogging track, golf nets and a combined sports court for tennis, basketball and volleyball.

The Splash Academy splits children into groups for age-appropriate activities. Kids can watch movies at the cinema, have a dance party at the interactive dance mat and enjoy an open space for active games. The T-Rex Kid’s Pool has a dinosaur theme, slides and a paddling pool. There’s also a hot tub on the deck nearby. Teenagers have their own club called Entourage, with video games, jukebox, fooseball table and air hockey. At night the club turns into a teen disco. There is also a video arcade and internet cafe on board.

“This was a get together with girls from the past, for total relaxation. Our halfway point to meet was New Orleans and we sailed from there. We lucked into a huge bargain on a Suite (12512) & thoroughly enjoyed the space & extra’s it provided. 3 ladies in a room, and no one had to sleep with another, lots of storage, butler & in room coffee pot.
