Libra

Launched in 1988 by Norwegian Cruise Line, the ship was bought and renamed SuperStar Libra by Star Cruises  in 2005. The 42,285-ton SuperStar Libra was refurbished in 2013 and sails three-day short voyages around Southeast Asian. It carries 1,472 passengers and 700 crew.

Accommodation

SuperStar Libra has 740 staterooms in 15 different categories. The largest accommodation on board is the Executive Suites measuring 3894.91 square feet. The suites have a sitting area, mini-fridge, television and DVD player, plus privileges such as in-suite chocolate and fruits and priority check-in. Oceanview Cabins have a window or porthole and are a good size for short cruises.

Food

SuperStar Libra allows guests to dine freely in an open-seating arrangement and there are a number of restaurants on board. Mariners and Four Seasons offer buffet-style meals featuring international dishes. For Asian cuisine, there is the Ocean Palace, Spices and Taipan. Snacks and fast food are available 24-hours a day at Blue Lagoon.

Activities

SuperStar Libra has a spa and fitness centre with modern fitness equipment, universal gym machines, sauna and steam rooms. The beauty salon offers services for men and women from professional beauticians and hair stylists. Spa treatments include foot reflexology and Asian massage. There is a basketball court, two pools and a golf driving range.

Families

For younger cruisers, SuperStar Libra has a Starlight Disco and Video Arcade, Wet & Wild by Neptune and Charlieย’s Child Care Area. Children on board can enjoy snacks, octopus slides and swimming pools. There is also a comprehensive learning centre with plenty of activities to keep them entertained.
