Star Pisces was originally launched as a cruise ferry in 1990 and bought by Star Cruises in 1993. The 40,053-tonne ship was refurbished in 2011. It carries 1,009 passengers and sails one- and two-night cruises from Hong Kong.

Star Pisces has 776 staterooms in 13 categories. The largest are the Genting Suites at 602.77 square feet. While most of the cabins are quite small, they are  laid out strategically with all the amenities. All cabins have remote-control television, personal safe, a dressing table and sufficient storage space and drawers.

Star Pisces allows  guests to dine freely in an open-seating arrangement at any of several restaurants on board. Mariner’’s Buffet offers international cuisine, the Genting Palace serves Cantonese dishes and the Sushi Bar has fresh Japanese cuisine. The Blue Lagoon serves snacks and fast food 24 hours a day.

Star Pisces has two pools, a Jacuzzi and a jogging track. The Galaxy of the Stars has panoramic views from a glass-fronted observatory area and holds game shows, lectures and demonstrations as well as hosting a dance band and a line-up of singers. There is also a private Star Karaoke lounge.

The Galaxy lounge offers DIY classes for kids and they can participate in karaoke competitions, Chinese calligraphy classes, bingo, line dancing and portrait painting. There is also a video arcade and a childcare centre, which is is open from 5pm until 2am.
