Le Soleal

Le Soleal was custom-built by French line Ponant (along with sister ships Le Boreal, Le Lyrial and L’Austral) and launched in 2013. The small ship has a relaxed, yacth-like feel and attracts couples and solo travellers. The 10,944 tonnes ship carries 264 passengers and 140 crew.
Accommodation
Le Soleal has six cabin categories across 132 staterooms, including three Prestige Suites. There are also 40 deluxe cabins that can be joined into 20 suites with two bath rooms, separate living area and bedroom. All rooms have flat-screen televisions, Wi-Fi, iPod chargers and DVD players. The toiletries on board are by L’Occitane.
Food
Le Soleal’s main dining area is The Gastronomic Restaurant, which has a seating capacity for 268 guests and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring French cuisine. Other dining areas include the indoor/outdoor Grill for casual meals. Dinner seating starts at 7.30pm.
Activities
There is a small spa on board which offers packages including anti-aging treatments. There is a gym connected to the spa with Kinesis equipment, stationary cycles and treadmills. The main lounge offers ballroom dancing classes. The show lounge doubles as a lecture theatre.
Families
Le Soleal has limited facilities for children. There is a playroom and kids’ menus are available on request, which may include ice-cream, omelets or pasta.
