Le Ponant is a luxury yacht under the management of the French line Ponant. The sleek, contemporary vessel has three masts and plenty of open deck space. It was launched in 2009 and sails through the Mediterranean from May to October. From November to April, Le Ponant sails to the Indian Ocean, Red Sea, Maldives and Seychelles. The 1,489 tonne ship is available for private charter. It carries 64 passengers and 32 crew.

There are five cabins on the open Antigua deck and 27 on the lower Maria Galante deck. The Antigua cabins are 12 square meters and can accommodate two people, while the Maria Galante cabins are 10 square meters and can cater for up to three passengers. All cabins have satellite flat-screen television, French bath products, internet Wi-Fi access,  iPod players, bath robes, mini-bar and satellite direct line telephone.

Le Ponant features French cuisine in its Diamant and Panoramic restaurants, with panoramic view of the sea. Meals are served with complimentary white, rose and red wines. At lunchtime, guests can eat from a buffet on the ship’Â’s terrace. Dinner is also served in the Karukéra Restaurant with an open seating arrangement.

There is no spa or fitness room on board Le Ponant. However, the ship has an outdoor platform for water activities and sports.
