Arcadia’s cabins, more than half of which have balconies, are roomy and highly functional. Room types are suites, mini-suites, cabins with balcony, and twin-bedded cabins with or without a window. All rooms have duvets, flat-screen TVs, tea/coffee-maker, refrigerator, working/vanity desk, a safe, and a hair dryer. A choice of Tetley teabags and long-life milk is also provided. The bathroom has a complete set of basic necessities. Fitness equipment may be requested at a small fee, for passengers who prefer to exercise in their cabins. Storage space is not generous for cruisers with a lot of luggage.

The Meridian Restaurant, Arcadia’s main dining hall, spans two decks adorned and joined by a stunning staircase and flushed with bright lights. Breakfast is 6.30am to 9.30am, lunch from noon to 1.30pm and dinner is served at two sittings, one at 6.30pm and another at 8.30pm. The menu at the Meridian is largely composed of British staples. Other free dining options are the casual buffet at The Belvedere and the Neptune Grill on deck 9. Wonderful for-fee dining options are the Ocean Grill, and the newly added, East, which offers excellent Asian cuisine. Room service is available with an extra charge for some items.

The Oasis Spa on the Lido Deck is spacious with eight treatment rooms and a welcoming reception area. The spa offers traditional treatments such as Swedish massage, waxing and salon treatments, to exotic offers such as a bamboo and seaweed massage or lime and ginger body scrub. A popular treatment is the 75-minute 24-Karat Gold Facial. Treatments should be pre-booked. The expansive fitness centre has a wide variety of equipment and a variety of wellness classes and activities by trained instructors and coaches. The Promenade Deck has space for strolling, jogging and stretching.
