Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Spectrum of the Seas will have a separate exclusive all-suite area.

It will be the first for the line Quantum Ultra-class ship which will be sailing in Asia and she will be homeported in Shanghai.

The complex will feature a dedicated suite zone that will have its own private pool, sun deck and restaurant for passengers staying in this exclusive area.

Spectrum of the Seas will also have the Ultimate Family Suite onboard which has been such a big success on the Symphony of the Seas. She’ll also have facilities onboard like the Sky Pad, which is a virtual reality bungee trampoline experience, and there will only be one dining room.

Royal Caribbean’s President and CEO Michael Bayley told Cruise Critic, “For the first time on a Royal Caribbean ship, we will have a dedicated suite zone on Spectrum of the Seas. With private elevator, private pool, private restaurant, which is something quite unique, which is very specific to the China market.”

The ‘ship-within-a-ship’ concept was pioneered by Norwegian Cruise Line with The Haven. Other cruise lines like MSC and the all Asian luxury line, Dream Cruises has also followed suit.

These areas have private bars, pools, gyms, pool decks and restaurants for its guests.
