Ovation of the Seas Reviews
If you’re thinking about booking Ovation of the Seas (one of the most beloved cruise ships) for the upcoming season, you’re not the only one. This Quantum-class ship has built a bit of a cult following in Australia, and for good reason. It’s big, it’s packed with stuff to do (from skydiving simulations to bumper cars), and it sails to some pretty stunning places.
Whether you’re chasing sunshine closer to home or heading north to see Alaska’s glaciers, Ovation’s got a solid lineup for the 2025/26 season. In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know: from itineraries and cabins to what’s worth doing on board (and what you can probably skip).
Summary
Very positive experience overall. Guests particularly appreciated amazing dining experience at Wonderland, good included restaurants, fun activities for kids and teens, such as bumper cars and indoor skydiving, among other positive aspects. However, concerns were raised about mixed reviews on food quality, especially in main dining room, internet connection can be unreliable and slow, crowded areas like Windjammer buffet, and other issues. Overall, this cruise option is highly recommended by most passengers.

We sailed with Royal Caribbean on board Symphony of the Seas. We had a great cruise on the Med from the 30th Sept. In general, magnificent ship and plenty to occupy any age. A couple of points, we found no quiet lounge on the new ship just to read without music and watch the world go by! Check your account on the TV each day, we found 6 errors of being charged for items we did not order on wine…Read More

We sailed with Royal Caribbean on board Symphony of the Seas. We originally booked to fly from Birmingham, but Bolsover contacted us to let us know Monarch had gone bust but we could still fly from Birmingham via Amsterdam to Barcelona if we wanted, opted to fly direct from Heathrow. We even had aisle seats as requested – thank you Bolsover…Read More

boarding the ship was chaotic to say the least, long winding ques . it took a long time to process people and in the Sydney heat as well which made it very uncomfortable. Every thing was in US dollars and expensive as all heck they also included tips in the purchase which pushed the price even higher. There was no on board credit, usually cruise lines will give each cabin some credit for on board expenses not these guys . The food was very average and after a few days was boring same ols thing day after day. We were on board for 11 nights and the bed sheets were not changed. There were some decent shows in the evening nut they didn’t go for long, there wasn’t much to do during the day , some classes some of which we had to pay for, bingo some trivia but not much else… Read More

The Cruise director (Rickey) and Activities Director (Kevin) made this cruise great. They are both lunatics who better slow down before they have a hear attack. Food and Dining: main dining room dinner and breakfast was hit or miss. Dinner service was excellent but breakfast service was spotty. Entertainment: Musicians great. Stagte shows not good. Crew stagte shows where crew members showcased their talent was wonderful… Read More
