Brand new luxury cruise line, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will be naming the first of its fleet Azora, meaning “sky blue”.
Azora is the first of three luxury yachts planned by the luxury hotelier and is currently being built in Spain.
“We wanted to select a name that embodies the wanderlust of a luxury journey at sea and inspires travelers to dream of their next destination,” said Doug Prothero, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s CEO.
“Azora, which evokes the beauty of the sky and ocean, does both. To the mind, the colour blue also suggests a distinct sense of peace and clarity, emotions we hope to stir in our guests during their journey with us.”
The 624-foor-long yacht with 149 balcony suites to accommodate 298 passengers, is set to debut in February 2020, sailing to the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Canada and New England.
Most voyages on the Azora will range from seven to ten nights, with overnight calls and curated shore excursions.
Guests can also expect The Ritz-Carlton luxury service and amenities as with their hotels and resorts.
Reservations are now open for the 2020 inaugural season and the next two yachts will debut in early 2021 and 2022 respectively.
