Viking will celebrate the return of much awaited movie โ€œDownton Abbey: The Grand Finaleโ€ which will be released on the big screen in the UK and UK on 12 September.

Viking has sponsored Downton Abbey television series since 2011 as part of the lineโ€™s cultural enrichment strategy. The latest movie is the third and final film in the Downton Abbey franchise.

โ€œDownton Abbey has long held a special place in the hearts of our guests, many of whom were introduced to Viking and Highclere Castle through the series,โ€ said Karine Hagen, Viking executive vice-president of product.

โ€œA key aspect of the Viking way of travel is offering our guests privileged access to cultural treasures around the world โ€“ and our exclusive experiences at Highclere Castle, which are co-created with the Carnarvon family, have become favourites among our guests.โ€

Viking guests are able to experience life at Highclere Castle with pre-and-post cruise land extensions that include โ€œOxford and Highclere Castleโ€ and โ€œBritainโ€™s Great Homes, Gardens & Ginโ€ which are available on the lineโ€™s river and ocean cruises.

โ€œFor over a decade, it has been a pleasure to open our doors to Viking guests and truly provide privileged access, sharing with them the stories, traditions and treasures that have made this estate special for more than 300 years,โ€ said Lady Carnarvon.

โ€œThe personal and professional ties between Viking and Highclere run deep โ€“ our longstanding relationship is rooted in a shared devotion to heritage, culture and the enrichment that comes from genuine exploration.โ€
