Royal Caribbean International’s Star of the Seas will soon join the line’s Icon class of ships, alongside the world’s biggest ship Icon of the Seas.

Unsurprisingly, Star of the Seas will be going where it’s hot, straight to the Caribbean. She’ll sail a range of seven-night vacations out of Port Canaveral, visiting Royal Caribbeans’ Perfect Day at CocoCay.

These can already be booked for those looking to plan ahead, with dates starting from December 2025.

Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International says: “Star of the Seas is the second bold act of this exciting, new era of vacations first introduced with Icon of the Seas.

“Between Miami and Port Canaveral (Orlando), more adventurers than ever can set their sights on the only vacation that combines the best of all vacations – from the beach retreat to the resort escape and the theme park adventure – with experiences that have and will continue to make headlines and memories for years to come.”

Will Star of the Seas become the biggest ship in the world?

Royal Caribbean hasn’t explicitly mentioned this, but Star of the Seas appears set to be the same size as Icon of the Seas, also taking 5610 guests, there is no indication to suggest it will be bigger than Icon.

What’s new?

The ship will have largely similar features as Icon of the Seas, including it’s various innovations like the eight different neighbourhoods, 40 plus bars and restaurants and record-breaking waterslides.

However, there’ll also be a brand new restaurant, Lincoln Park Supper Club. This will have a 1930s feel, based on old-school Chicago decor, pairing multiple course meals with live entertainment.

Royal Caribbean’s new beach club

Royal Caribbean is currently building a new beach club, which will be based in Cozumel, Mexico. This club is set to open in 2026.

Many of Star of the Seas’s new itineraries will involve not just PerfectDay at CocoCay, but also this beach club, With 15 of the first 34 announced itineraries set to pay a visit to Cozumel.

Royal Caribbean also a beach club in Nassau in the Bahamas, to where Utopia of the Seas will be paying constant visits.
