After many delays, The Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection’s ship Evrima will finally take to the seas, set to take to the water on October 15.
Evrima is a luxurious vessel, taking on a yacht-like appearance despite its 10-deck interior. The decor is as elegant as you’d expect from Ritz Carlton, with luxury furnishings dotting the interior of the ship.
The first sailing will be a seven-night voyage from Barcelona to Nice, with the ship making its way through the Balearic islands and Mallorca in Spain, as well as a stop in St. Tropez, France.
This sailing comes after eight different delays, mostly construction based, with the ship initially slated to sail three years ago. Customers have expressed frustration at the repeated cancellations but the frustration appears to finally be coming to an end, 33 months after the planned sailing date.
Evrima makes. her debut among a cruising landscape of smaller cruise ships designed in a yacht-like fashion also coming to the forefront. Emerald Cruises, Four Seasons and Scenic Luxury Cruises have all recently announced the construction or sailing dates of similar vessels.
Ritz-Carlton has also announced the construction of two more ships for the brand that will be built at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in St. Nazaire, France. These two ships are scheduled to take to the seas in 2024 and 2025.
