Princess Cruises took delivery of their newest ship, the Enchanted Princess during a ceremony at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy.
Originally scheduled to launch in June, but due to COVID, all new ship launches were delayed. But, it was a momentous occasion for Princess as this was the fifth Royal class ship to join the fleet.
The ship will have the same features as other ships in its class, like the dramatic over-the-ocean glass Seawalk, Italian-inspired Piazza as well as Broadway style shows.
The Enchanted Princess will be the first ship to have the Sky Suites which are located on the top deck of the ship and also has the largest private balconies on the line.
The balconies measure 700 square feet, guests have the perfect view for the lines’ Movie Under the Stars. The two suites also have panorama views and can accommodate five guests.
“We officially welcome Enchanted Princess into the Princess global fleet and recognise the strong bond between Carnival Corporation, Princess Cruises and Fincantieri, our long-standing shipbuilder partner,” said Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises.
“Fincantieri shares the Princess spirit of delivering the highest level of excellence, and we know they will also share in our enthusiasm with pride when the ship welcomes its first guests.”
Enchanted Princess is now scheduled to sail her first cruise on December 19, 2020. The ship will homeport in Port Everglades and sail week-long cruises to the Caribbean.
In May, the cruise ship will head to Europe and sail a series of seven-night cruises from Barcelona and Civitavecchia to ports in the Mediterranean.
