Silversea unveils 278 itineraries to 497 destinations in 2028/2029

Silversea has unveiled its Voyage Collection for 2028/29 with 278 itineraries sailing to 497 destinations across 71 countries.

  • Silversea’s Voyage Collection will offer sailings to more than 70 countries including a 60-day Grand Mediterranean Voyage.
  • Many voyages will coincide with the world’s famous festivals including Japan’s matsuri festivities, Scandinavia’s Midsummer festivals and the Harvest season in Europe.
  • Silversea will also offer expeditions to the Arctic, Greenland, Antarctica and the Galapagos.

Silversea has unveiled its Voyage Collection for 2028/29 with 278 itineraries sailing to 497 destinations across 71 countries.

Many of the voyages have been timed to coincide with the world’s renowned seasonal festivals including the Monaco Grand Prix, Japan’s matsuri cultural festivals, Scandinavia’s Midsummer festivities and the Harvest Season across Europe’s Atlantic coast.

Silversea will also introduce its most extensive Mediterranean voyages including the volcanic coastline of Milos, Algiers and Bejaia in Algeria, Pantelleria of the coast of Sicily and the rare waterway cruising on the Guadalquivir River to Sevilla.

Silversea’s expedition program will also cover the Arctic, Greenland, Antarctica, Polynesia and Galapagos.

In Antarctica, Silversea will offer its Fly Cruise program kicking off in Patagonia with a stay at the line’s luxury hotel at The Cormorant at 55 South in Puerto Williams, Chile.

A total of 41 Antarctica expeditions have been scheduled across its three expedition ships – Silver Cloud, Silver Endeavour and Silver Wind – including Christmas and New Year’s Eve departures.

“Our 2028-29 Voyage Collection reflects what Silversea does best – taking guests beyond the expected to destinations and cultural moments that reveal the world in ways they didn’t expect,” said Bert Hernandez, President Silversea. “From Mediterranean Expedition voyages to an enhanced Antarctica Fly Cruise program and the 60-day Grand Mediterranean Voyage aboard Silver Dawn, the collection offers our guests a unique array of destination experiences, delivered in a way that only Silversea can.”

Highlights of Silversea’s 2028-29 Voyage Collection

The line will deploy five ships to the Mediterranean including Silver Ray, Silver Nova, Silver Dawn, Silver Spirit and Silver Shadow which will call at smaller ports such as Sete, Monopoli and Saint Tropez with extended and overnight stays.

In particular, the line will take guests to experience some of Europe’s famed festivities including the Monaco Grand Prix where they will onboard Silver Ray during race week.

Scandinavia’s Midsummer Festivals. There will be sailings throughout Northern Europe to coincide with Scandinavia’s midsummer celebrations which are marked by outdoor  gatherings and local music to celebrate the midnight sun.

Matsuri in Japan. During Japan’s much celebrated 2028 festivals, Silver Whisper will be cruising to experience Kyoto Gion Matsuri during the month of July. She will also be sailing to take in the Nebuta Festival in Aomori which is famous for its massive illuminated paper floats and traditional music, the Kochi Yosakoi Festival and the Awa Odori in Tokushima, the country’s largest traditional street dance festivals.

Harvest Season across Europe’s Atlantic Coast. Silver Nova will sail along the coasts of Spain, Portugal and Northern Europe during the grape season with culinary shore excursions so that guests are able to immerse themselves with the region’s heritage of winemakers, producers and culinary traditions.

Northern Europe. Silver Nova will mark her first season in Northern Europe to unlock Norway’s fjords calling at Geiranger and Flam. Silver Spirit will sail Baltic itineraries featuring Sweden and Finland. Besides the Monaco Grand Prix, Silver Ray will also cruise Eastern Mediterranean including the Adriatic and Greek Islands.

Silver Dawn will offer an autumn sailing visiting more than 40 destinations across Greece, Croatia, Italy, the Adriatic and the Iberian Peninsula. The ship will call at hidden gems such as Menton in France, Naxos in the Greek Isles and Roses on the Catalan coast. Guests will also have access to exclusive events including a private and exclusive evening on Yiasemi Street in Athens and a Papal experience in Rome during an overnight stay in October 2028.

Silversea will also offer a range of pre- and post-cruise extensions where they can experience a three-night stay to experience Finland’s sauna culture, coastal landscapes and food traditions. Also on offer is a three-night stay in a private island resort in the Seychelles for sailings from Mahe.
