Silver Endeavour, dubbed by Silversea as “the world’s most luxurious expedition ship”, is set to undergo refurbishments to coat on even more luxury.

Following its debut season in Antarctica, the new ship is heading towards San Giorgio del Porto shipyard in Genova, for enhancements that include 10 new suites.

Following extra demand for the ships most opulent and spacious accomodations, Silver Endeavour is getting six new suites on deck eight and a further four on deck five. Along with these suites comes the introduction of two new suite categories, master suites and signature suites.

The two new master suites are bathed in style, with 29 square metre verandas that show off a 270-degree view of the ocean from their verandas. The living quarters themselves offer 108 square metres of space, with living and dining areas, a walk-in closet, whirlpool bath, convertible sofa, king-sized bed and more.

The four new signature suites come in between 67 and 78 square metres, also with spacious verandas attached. Floor-to-ceiling windows will open the room, with a sizeable bedroom, bathroom and living room offering you plenty of space to feel at home at sea.

The further four new rooms will be part of the existing suite category, classic veranda suites. Five square metre veranda’s will give guests a view out to whatever beautiful region they’re cruising in.

Other changes to the ship include the removal of the casino, which is making way for more crew member cabins. This will mean the ship plays host to an additional seven crew members that can maintain Silversea’s crew to passenger ratio as more passengers lay their head in the new suites. Furthermore, some of the new crew members will be part of the ships expedition team, adding more expert voices to the scientific immersion of the voyages.

Roberto Bruzzone, Silversea’s Senior Vice President of Marine Operations said: “Silver Endeavour’s refurbishment will strengthen her status as the world’s most luxurious expedition ship.

“With our guests’ cruise experience in mind, we are broadening her range of accommodation options by introducing two new suite categories, enriching a selection of public venues, and creating space for addition crew members to maintain one of the industry’s highest crew-to-guest ratios.

“Building on the success of her inaugural Antarctic season, Silver Endeavour will welcome travellers in the Arctic from June 2023, offering deeper connections and greater destination reach than ever.”

Silver Endeavour is coming off its inaugural season in Antarctica and the season was a roaring success. On November 24, she became the ship of the seas to cross the Antarctic Circle and in December, celebrations were had as three different Silversea ships, Silver Endeavour, Silver Wind and Silver Cloud, all met up in Antarctica.

After her refurbishments the vessel has two sailings in the British Isles and Iceland, before moving on to a series of Arctic sailings from the beginning of June, with destinations such as Cape York and Pond Inlet awaiting.
