Royal Caribbean’s newest Oasis Class ship to sail in Asia Pacific

Royal Caribbean has revealed that they will be sending their fifth Oasis Class ship to homeport in Shanghai, China when she debuts in 2021.

The lineโ€™s Oasis Class ships are the largest in the world and carry up to 5,600 passengers. The Wonder of the Seas will be the first of its class to sail the Asia Pacific, showing further commitment to the region where the company has been investing in for a long time.

The largest ship in the region is currently the 4,246-guest Spectrum of the Seas.

โ€œRoyal Caribbean International has been a market leader in China for more than 10 years by consistently showcasing bold deployment strategies and driving growth of the new to cruise market,โ€ said Dr. Zinan Liu, Chairman, Royal Caribbean Asia.

The ship has also just marked the start of its construction phase with the keel lowered into place at the Chantiers de lโ€™Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Naizaire, France. It is scheduled to be delivered in the first half of 2021.

The ship will combine the iconic seven-neighbourhood concept that her sister ships feature along withย a lineup of thrilling experiences, imaginative dining, unparalleled entertainment and the latest technology.
