Princess’ new 360 dining experience to transport you to the Mediterranean
NewsDubbed by Princess Cruises as “the cruise line’s most epic experience ever offered”, Princess Cruises have launched a new 360-degree dining experience.
360: An Extraordinary Experience is now operating on Discovery Princess and Enchanted Princess is a multisensory journey that, wherever you are in the world, transports you through the Mediterranean. You can expect dramatic and engaging storytelling, a seven-course meal, carefully curated local wines, and large LED screens creating an accompanying image of the iconic region.
As you dine you’ll be immersed in the history and beauty of locations such as the hilltops of Santorini, the shores of the Amalfi Coast, bustling Barcelona, and more. You’ll learn not just about the regions, but also how they connect to the ingredients and beverages in front of you.
Princess President John Padgett said: “360 is a fusion of master storytelling, world-class cuisine, visual entertainment, and ground-breaking technology that manifests in what can only be described as an Extraordinary Experience.
“360 is a remarkable adventure that immerses our guests into the compelling cultures and flavors of the Mediterranean in a 90-minute celebration of the senses.”
On the select ships, the experience will happen twice nightly, with a cap of 20 guests ensuring an intimate and personalised experience.
Without spoiling too many details, to begin you’ll be snapped by the ship’s photographer in front of a gorgeous backdrop, before being served a Mediterranean-inspired cocktail, then two violinists begin to serenade you and whisk you away to the private dining area where the rest of the magic happens.
The voice of the character Bethany, that guides guests on the sensory journey, is performed by renowned actress Brooke Shields.
Currently, the experience is primarily only available for suite guests, or those who have future suite accommodations booked on any Princess cruise.
Adding to the exclusivity, many of the dishes, products, and wine served aren’t available anywhere else on the ship.
