Luxury small ship line, Atlas Ocean Voyages is holding a professional tennis exhibition cruise in Antarctica where John and Patrick McEnroe will battle it out on the tennis court – in Antarctica.

The 11-day voyage, which departs from 22 February, 2022 is the first of a series of themed cruises run by Legends Abroad, where guests can mingle with professional athletes, on voyages to remote places.

Guests aboard the World Navigator, a small expedition ship, will be able to place tennis, dine and go on shore excursions with the McEnroes.

“I’m excited to travel to Antarctica and play my brother, Patrick, in the first-ever professional tennis match on the seventh continent, and to help raise awareness to the challenges facing one of the most remote and amazing places on the planet,” said John McEnroe.

“This will be an epic adventure and a one-of-a-kind expedition.”

Patrick McEnroe added that he had “always wanted to explore the amazing landscapes of Antarctica, and how could I miss out on playing the first ever pro tennis match there against my own brother? I can only promise one thing, a McEnroe will win!”

Like all Atlas sailings to Antarctica, guests will take a private charter flight from Orlando to Ushuaia, Argentina where they will board the World Navigator.

The next tennis-focused trip will be in Mongolia in August. The players are yet to be announced.
