Ovation of the Seas will spend a longer time in Australia making 2018/19 the biggest season yet for the megaliner.

Royal Caribbean Line has extended the ship’s season with the addition of two new sailings to the South Pacific and New Zealand next year before she leaves for her maiden season in Alaska.

Ovation will offer a new 10-night itinerary to New Zealand departing Sydney on 30 March next year. The cruise will call at Dunedin, Wellington, Napier and Picton. Guests will also enjoy a scenic cruise through the Milford, Doubtful and Dusky Sounds. Fares start from $1729pp twin share for an interior stateroom – including up to 45 per cent savings as part of the line’s biggest sale of the year promotion.

Another new itinerary is the 8-night cruise to the South Pacific, departing Sydney on 9 April 2019 which will visit Noumea and Mystery Island in Vanuatu. Fares start from $1679pp twin share for an interior stateroom.

The extension of Ovation of the Seas 2018/19 season down under has been due “to incredible demand for the ship,’’ RCL said.

Ovation of the Seas introduced some of the most incredible first-at-sea experiences to Australia including Ripcord by iFLY – a heart-pounding skydiving experience, the North Star glass viewing pod 90 metres above sea level and the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex with bumper cars and ice-skating rink. It also boasts a multimedia entertainment venue with dancing Roboscreens and the robotic Bionic Bar where robots stir and shake your cocktails.
