- Northern Hemisphere Summer will commence with the broadcast.
- All ships in the fleet will show all 104 games on board.
Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed that it will be broadcasting all FIFA 2026 Games.
The announcement coincides with the start of the Northern Hemisphere Summer and has the makings of a point of difference for the cruise line in a very busy market.
With the tournament taking place across multiple cities in the United States, Mexico and Canada, every ship across the NCL fleet will be broadcasting live coverage of the tournament.

NCL Vice President and Managing Director, Ben Angell said the broadcasting of the World Cup will be a big driver for Australians and Kiwis.
“Australians and Kiwis are some of the most passionate sports fans in the world, and we know many travellers don’t want to choose between exploring new destinations and following a major global event. By bringing every FIFA World Cup 26™ match to our entire fleet — whether guests are sailing closer to home on Norwegian Spirit or exploring further afield across Europe or other incredible regions on our global ships — we’re making sure they can enjoy the best of both worlds. Whether they’re backing their favourite team or simply soaking up the electrifying atmosphere, they won’t miss a single defining moment while cruising with us.”
Guests will be offered the option of watching the game from the sanctuary of their own cabins, with staterooms broadcasting across two dedicated special event channels. All ships will have two channels airing all live matches. This ensures that on certain occasions where matches kick off simultaneously, guests can choose which game to follow.
Or, if you’re feeling a little more inclined for camaraderie, then you can hit up any of the popular bars and designated venues across the ships to watch the action unfold. In addition to this, games can be recorded and replayed on board for a 24-hour period. This means that guests can still head out to enjoy their shore excursions or simply relax on deck and still catch up on the full 90 minutes at a time that suits them. The idea behind this 24-hour-catchup option is to maintain the NCL brand of Freedom and Flexibility concept.
