NCL kicks off biggest European season yet with eight ships sailing to over 100 destinations

Norwegian Cruise Line has kicked off its biggest European season yet with eight ships sailing to over 100 destinations from 10 different ports, including two never-before-seen ships, the new Norwegian Prima which debuts in Iceland in August and Norwegian Escape sailing in the Mediterranean for the first time.

NCL’s sailings in the Med and other European ports will attract many Australians who traditionally flock to Europe to embark on cruises to bucket list destinations.

“Europe has always been an bucket list destination for travellers from Australia and it’s back on the agenda in a big way in 2022. It also happens to be a key cruise destination for NCL, as winner of the World Travel Award for ‘Europe’s Leading Cruise Line’ for 14 years running,” said Ben Angell, NCL VP and Managing Director APAC.

“We’re delighted to offer more choice in ships, itineraries and destinations, including welcoming Norwegian Escape, our first Breakaway-Plus ship back in Europe after her inauguration, and Norwegian Prima, our newest and most in demand ship ever.”

In the Greek Isles, the line’s two ships, Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Gem, will offer roundtrip voyages of seven to nine nights from Athens, Venice and Rome, cruising to breathtaking islands and visiting stunning Santorini, Mykonos and Athens.
