It’s a Royal Caribbean love story well deserved of a Valentine’s Day shout-out.

A couple who have been together since they were 17, got engaged earlier this year on Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean reposted the sweet love story of the couple who have been together for the last six years, on their Facebook page.

Jess and Michael who are teenage sweethearts, were travelling on Ovation of the Seas on a South Pacific cruise.

Their first voyage was onboard Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas. And Michael thought it would be fitting to propose to Jess on their second cruise.

The 23-year-old cruisers, and soon-to-be newlyweds were exploring Mystery Island when Michael got down on one knee.  

“We have been together for 6 years since we were 17 years old. This was our second cruise together, our first was on Explorer Of The Seas. He planned it with our friends on Ovation Of The Seas.

“We explored Mystery Island in the morning then went back again after lunch. We were taking photos in our white night attire, then when it was our turn for a photo Michael dropped to one knee! It was a lovely surprise and a perfect day!”

The couple got engaged on January 6, 2024, and celebrated with their friends back onboard the ship.
