She’s sleek, stylish, and cutting-edge. Cruise Passenger paid a port visit to Emerald Azzurra. We found the brilliantly designed super yacht causing quite a stir sailing the coast of Turkey.
The 100-guest, 110-metre vessel Emerald vessel is part of the Scenic Group. And she was designed by Australian ship owner Glen Moroney and his wife Karen.
She was visiting the tiny port of Canakkale, where many passengers disembark to visit the battlefield of Gallipoli or the historic city of Troy.
The Emerald Azzurra features stunning steel and grey interiors, two stylish bars with lounges and two restaurants, a spa pool, a wellness deck, and a marina. Voyages start from around $800.
Some 76 crew members are on hand to ensure everything is super-yacht smooth.
Life on board
You can visit the bridge 24 hours a day and Second Officer Jasper was happy to show us the controls of a ship with two 200 horsepower engines and “the largest display screens I’ve ever worked with.”
Down on the wellness deck, spa supervisor Ozay showed us the special revolutionary infrared sauna seats that are so good for bad backs. There is a hairdressing salon, Elements Spa and treatment rooms, and a gym.
At La Cucina, guests were happily tucking into a light lunch inside or on the terrace.
You could be on board next.

Thanks Graham – you are quite right. I think we got carried away by the difference between a lounge and a bar…thanks for pointing that out!
You say there are 5 restaurants and 4 bars,
I believe there are only 2 of each.
