Emerald Sakara, the newest ocean-bound luxury yacht from Emerald Cruises, has floated out to sea for the first time. The yacht is set to welcome guests for the first time on August 5, 2023, and the finishing touches are being put on the opulent interiors before then.

Emerald Sakara is the second luxury yacht to become part of the cruise lines fleet, following the launch of Emerald Azzurra in March 2022. The design of Sakara is similar, with a maximum of only 100 guests per cruise, spread across 50 luxurious suites and staterooms, aiming to facilitate a luxurious yet intimate cruising experience.

The luxury vessel packs in all the amenities that you’d imagine, with a spa, gym, and state-of-the-art infrared sauna, as well as a Sky Bar, infinity pool, and plenty of nicely furnished common areas. Down at the yacht’s marina is a watersports haven, with equipment for swimming, snorkelling, paddle-boarding, a water trampoline, and more.

The ship is set to kick off its tenure with an Athens to Rome sailing, before continuing to explore Italy, Greece, and Turkey throughout the sunnier months. Then for the European winter, she’ll traverse to the Caribbean and Central America season of sunshine, moving to the Caribbean by November 17 for an eight-day Eastern Caribbean and Grenadines itinerary.

Angus Crichton, Director of Sales, Marketing and Product for Emerald Cruises said: “The Emerald Cruises luxury yacht experience is truly unique, with just 50 cabins on each vessel. There are literally only a handful of suites remaining for the 2023 Mediterranean season and 2024 is selling fast. With Super Earlybird savings from $3,700 per couple, now is the time to book to avoid disappointment.”

Glen Moroney, Chairman and founder of The Scenic Group, Emerald Cruises’ parent company said: “Karen and I have overseen the development and construction of Emerald Sakara and, having visited the shipyard recently, I can say the yacht certainly exceeds our expectations.

“Being able to add to the Emerald Cruises fleet so swiftly is a sign of the positive reception our new yachts have received from guests and our travel partners. Emerald Sakara opens up a whole world of new destinations that are sure to spark even greater demand.”

Cruises start from just $6,595pp on the 8-day French & Italian Rivieras with Corsica with a $1,370 per couple Early Payment Discount. The cruise departs on May 25, 2024, from Nice to Civitavecchia.
